It therefore offers protection from painful burns and prevents damage to protective clothing from the effects of heat. At the same time, it offers a high degree of mechanical protection from scratches or dents for the manifold, which can easily occur while riding off-road or if the bike accidentally falls over. The heat shield is a two-part component. The two heat shield plates are fitted in thermal isolation, so that touching them doesn't lead to any injuries.
